De vier b&#8217;s houden in: bisekseu (geen seks met mannen), bichulsan (niet bevallen), biyeonae (geen mannen daten) en bihon (geen huwelijk met mannen). De beweging is uit een angstige en boze reactie ontstaan na de verkiezingen. Nu mannen op sociale media slogans uitkramen als &#8220;Your body my choice&#8221;, willen vrouwen terug macht over hun lichaam beschikken. Dit willen ze door geen toegang te geven aan mannen.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:43px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Oorsprong<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De beweging is ontstaan \u200b\u200btegen de achtergrond van diepgewortelde genderongelijkheid in Zuid-Korea. Daar worden vrouwen vaak worden geconfronteerd met onrealistische verwachtingen. Traditionele normen schrijven voor dat vrouwen verantwoordelijk zijn voor zowel hun carri\u00e8re als het huishouden. Terwijl ze vaak worden gediscrimineerd op de werkvloer en in relaties. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:17px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Het 4B-activisme is een reactie op de Zuid-Koreaanse overheid die de dalende geboortecijfers willen aanpakken door vrouwen te stimuleren om te trouwen en kinderen te krijgen. Veel vrouwen in de beweging verzetten zich hier tegen omdat dit een inbreuk is op hun autonomie. Daarnaast zijn de vrouwen in Zuid-Korea ook boos dat de overheid zich hierop focussen zonder eerst het overheidsbeleid aan te passen om voor meer vrouwvriendelijkheid te zorgen. Zo heeft Zuid-Korea een van de grootste gender loonkloof te wereld. Tenslotte is het ook een reactie op de groeiend geweld tegen vrouwen. Seksueel geweld en  brutale moorden op vrouwen komen dagelijks voor in de headlines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sociale media<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hoewel de beweging als marginaal beschouwd word en de titel misandristisch krijgt, heeft het de afgelopen weken vele hits gekregen op sociale media. Vrouwen opperen om het komende termijn van Trump hun lichaam als protestmiddel te gebruiken. Ze doen het niet uit mannenhaat maar om de eigen autonomie terug te krijgen, gesprekken te starten en als een wake-up call dat vrouwen rechten in gevaar zijn.
